Lost in sight, lost in mind.
As you stand in acquittal, can you hear my voice?
Rest again; maintain a vital line. Ensure delay.
Save a breath and swallow, we know good faith is not enough.
Shut your eyes and follow, we know you can't confront alone.
Put away your sorrow, we know there will be forever. My love.
Decide to let it take you down, but this bond will never break; I swear.
Can you hear me? Can you feel my love?

We hide our cries to cache away the pictures of our pain. The law of land not shown; a truth untold. We find it hard to push away the silence of our grave. Release of hand, let go; secrete your soul.
Disease controls the heart. Grief paints the day.
A handle left in weary. Broken with disdain.
Defeat becomes an art; belief has blown away.
A sudden loss of conscious. A loath in self decay.
We're in the fire. Burning like the sun; we bleed.
We're in the fire. Calling on god to send the rain.
Rise above the fire, erase the burn. Rise into the light.
Drink upon the water for allay.
Are you willing to consign?
Are you able to cross the line?
Are you willing to let it die?
Are you able to sacrifice?
"He said: The only thing that burns in Hell is the part of you that won't let go of life, your memories, your attachments. They burn them all away. But they're not punishing you, he said. They're freeing your soul. So, if you're frightened of dying and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the earth."
[Jacob's Ladder. Dir. Adrian Lyne. Carolco Pictures, 1990.]

Recommit. Stay. Wait on end.
A stab at my back and a hook in my heart coincide when I think of you. A part of my soul or a burn to my eyes I'd trade for you. In balance we walk away; separate. In absence I forfeit.
It was my job to hold you ever long. It was my turn in time not to forget you. It's my fault now I feel alone. It's my turn in time to feel alone. In balance we separate.

Some battle, some fight on.
So glad to be in tune.
Some ravel, some die off.
So sad to see you go.
Hold on, stay with me.

I can't remember the day I was born, or the first sight of a sun go-down. I don't remember much of being a child, or the time it took for life go-round. Fate was full before the swallow and it's never known otherwise. How can I live without tomorrow, when I've never had the choice?
I've never had to light the fire of this soul inside of me. It’s too real for us to hold within our hands. I never meant to spark the fuse and break this silence that it weighs. To reel in the world that casts a shadow on itself. It’s never right to cut the cord on forbidden truths that lie beneath. Drop the act; in turn you will forget to understand. Never bite a hand that feeds, the flesh will make it bittersweet. Coming back around to state this final reprimand.
I drank on mother's milk and learned to read and write. Football with the boys and brand name attire. I've drowned in alcohol and fallen for love. Left home for pedigree. A kiss-ass to the man. We've been around the world, 'til death did us part.
Cut the ties, it's time to loosen these chains.
Lose the blame, it's time to go. Loosen these chains.
There’s no use for work, nor use for buying time.
There’s no use for words, nor use for what's inside.
There’s no use for retrace, nor use to hide.
There’s no use for rebirth, nor use for life.
There’s no use for compromise: My soul divide. Now's the time.
A blessing of falter. Forgiveness dis tempered. Forgetting all that is gone.
